How Long Is My Media Stored After I Cancel?

Last updated: October 14, 2026

Overview

If you cancel your Tonomo subscription, your media isn't removed right away. We retain your media for up to 18 months after your cancellation date, so you still have time to access your deliverables.

Storage Capacity

Storage capacity depends on where your deliverables are stored. If you deliver through Dropbox, your capacity depends on your own Dropbox subscription plan. If you use Tonomo's built-in storage for deliverables instead, there's currently no capacity limit.

What Happens Immediately After You Cancel

As soon as your subscription ends, your portal is immediately disabled from accepting new bookings. You won't be able to take new orders, but your existing bookings are not affected.

Billing After You Cancel

Tonomo billing runs about a month behind usage, so your final invoice won't necessarily land right away. For example, usage from January is billed at the end of February or the first week of March — so if you cancel in January, expect that invoice around March.

Note: This only applies if you have overages or custom domain charges for that period. If you don't have any overages or custom domains, you won't receive any further invoices after you cancel.

Your Existing Orders and Deliverables

Any orders you already had remain intact, and you can still deliver them — including photos and videos — but only during your final paid month. Once that month ends, you won't be able to actively deliver those orders anymore, even though your media is still being retained.

Important: The 18-month retention period is how long your media stays stored — it is not a window during which you can still deliver orders. You can only deliver existing orders during your final paid month.
