How Do I Set Up Photographer Skillsets?
Last updated: September 29, 2026
Photographer skillsets let you control which photographers Tonomo can book for each service, so shoots only go to people trained to do them. For example, only your drone-trained photographers get Aerial Video, and only your videographers get video. You turn skillsets on in Configure Booking > Scheduling, then tick which services each photographer can do. With skillsets off, Tonomo shares bookings evenly among available photographers.
At a glance
Go to Configure Booking > Scheduling, General tab, Photographer Skillsets section, and switch on Enable.
A grid shows photographers across the top and services down the side, grouped by category.
Ticked: Tonomo can book that photographer for that service, if they meet your other rules.
Unticked: Tonomo never books them for it, even when they're free.
Select all ticks a whole category for one photographer.
Click Save changes when you're done.
How do I set up skillsets?
Go to Configure Booking > Scheduling and open the General tab.
Scroll to Photographer Skillsets and switch on Enable.
In the grid, find each photographer's column. Services are listed in rows, grouped under their categories.
Tick every service each photographer is trained for. To tick a whole category for someone, click Select all under their name in that category.
Click Save changes at the bottom of the page.
What does a ticked or unticked box mean?
Box | Result |
|---|---|
Ticked | Tonomo can book this photographer for this service, as long as they're also available, cover the service area, and meet your other rules |
Unticked | Tonomo won't book this photographer for this service, whether or not they're available |
A tick is permission, not a guarantee. Availability and your other scheduling rules still apply.
What happens when Photographer Skillsets toggle is off?
Tonomo ignores the grid and shares bookings evenly between photographers, based on availability.
